Coordinator Information

If you’re a coordinator, here is what you need to know!

Coordinators are asked to serve as ‘point of communication’ with your school spelling champion. Please insure that email information intended for the spellers is shared with the speller, and his parents, where appropriate

By enrolling your school in the Scripps National Spelling Bee program, you are authorized to advance your school champion to participate in the Inland Valley Regional Spelling Bee. Please make note of the deadline for completing the registration of your champion, which is January 31th, 2016. This means you should conduct your final school spelling bee during or before January 24th.

Coordinators should go to, to insure your spelling champion gets registered to participate in the IVRSB in a timely manner.

Here is list of information you will be asked to include on the form. You will need to collect some of this information from parents or the speller.

When the school bee coordinator is completing the registration form, we are making the assumption
The parent or guardian named below has been made aware of the terms of participation. This
information will be confirmed with the parent or guardian of the 2016 IVRSB Champion on March 5th, 2016.

Finally, we thank you for your work and dedication in supporting a spelling bee program at your school. It is the combined effort of the 100 plus school level bee coordinators that make the IVRSB, and the Scripps National Spelling Bee possible.
